Director of Sales

Job Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales this role is accountable for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to expand our business by building strong client relationships. This role is responsible for the identification and evaluation of potential client opportunities. The Director of Sales must successfully convert identified opportunities into signed contracts that meet or exceed their sales revenue plan and the established profitability targets. This role is accountable for successfully negotiating the overall terms of engagements within established guidelines. All Directors of Sales work closely with senior management to position Mindcrest as a world class offshore legal services firm.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will work to establish deep relationships with attorney’s in law firms and corporations. They must identify, negotiate and close business, ensuring attainment of quarter over quarter results to established targets. They must possess deep understanding of the litigation and e-discovery side of the law business. Focus will be on selling litigation support services as well as corporate legal services. This person must be a self-starter, a team player and willing to work within a small, growing organization. The selected candidate will be located in New York and should expect some travel.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• A strategic business mindset and the ability to establish increased revenue and profitability targets as well as a proven track record of successful execution against those targets;
• A consultative sales development style characterized by exceptionally strong relationship building successes;
• A clear track record of selling and delivering high-value, complex professional services in the legal services market;
• Experience growing knowledge businesses, including successfully designing and packaging new service offerings and penetrating new markets a strong plus;
• Strong high level (i.e., “C-Suite”) relationships at Fortune 1,000 companies and law firms as well as relationships with other high level executives who could be prospective buyers of legal process outsourcing services.
• A significant understanding of the North American legal market.
Candidate Qualifications:
• 5+ years of sales experience selling solutions and services to law firms, attorneys and corporate legal departments.
• Prior Legal Processing Outsourcing experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree and J.D. required. MBA a plus.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior experience in a start up environment a plus.
